How long have you been a member at 1020?  Almost 4 Months

Tell us about your first day walking through the doors at Ten Twenty: I actually work with Coach Chris and we had talked about me coming in and I kept saying "yeah yeah I'll get in there sometime" and I kept putting it off.  One day I couldn't sleep and I think I saw a video he posted on Instagram or something and I was like "dude, I wannt do that" so I got out of bed and drove down to the box and signed up.  I didn't want to try it out before signing up because I knew I would think it was hard and not committ.  I also didn't work out that day becasue I was wearing skinny jeans and vans...hahaha!

What benefits/accomplishments have you seen/had since joining? Overall I think I'm physically getting stronger.  I feel better throughout the day.  I also think my mental strength and confidence is improving.  The more I train, the more able I am to push myself to go one more rep or one more round.  Before 1020, I would see certain exercises and wouldn't even think about trying it and now I'm like "that looks insane, I got that"!

What are your individual goals? My individual goal is to beat Coach Chris at "Fran".  It may never happen but who knows, he's getting old, I might catch up...haha!

Favorite moment at 1020 so far?  I have two favorite moments from 1020 and they're kind of weird things to call my "favorite".  One was this time in a Jomar yoga class where I did a headstand for the first time since I was like 10.  My second was a few weeks ago, I was trying handstand push-ups at work and couldn't figure it out and one day after class I told Coach Dana I was going to figure it out real quick and I did two strict handstand push-ups.  We were both kind of shocked.

What do you enjoy  most about the coaching staff at 1020? The coaching staff is so rad!  They're not gonna let you get in over your head but they're also not gonna let you slack.  They care about your results as much as you do and I think that's what sets the coaching staff apart from other gyms.

Words of advice for someone interested in getting started? My advice is just do it.  You're going to be tired and you're going to be sore but you'll grow to like that.  It takes a special kind of person to come in 5 days a week and put yourself through this kind of stuff, BE THAT PERSON!

Tell us something we don't know about you?  I am a huge Backstreet Boys fan!

Favorite WOD?  I don't have a favorite WOD yet.

Least Favorite WOD?  I don't have a least favorite WOD yet.
