How long have you been a member at 1020? Since Mid-June
Tell us about your first day walking through the doors at Ten Twenty: It was really welcoming and Coach Dana was really encouraging and insightful in helping me get the exercises down.
What benefits/accomplishments have you seen/had since joining? So far, I have lost 14.8lbs and have really seen a change in my cardiovascular system and endurance as well as just feeling like I have more energy.
What are your individual goals? So far, my goals are to be at or below 230lbs and be able to do at least 2 unassisted pull-ups by the end of the year. Other than that, just get healthier.
Favorite moment at 1020 so far? Just hanging out at the box after the WOD and getting to know the other athletes.
What do you enjoy most about the coaching staff at 1020? They are really encouraging, knowledgeable, and make sure you focus on form so you don't injure yourself.
Words of advice for someone interested in getting started? Work hard, don't give up, listen to your coaches, and it's not a competition but a challenge to complete together with the other athletes.
Tell us something we don't know about you? My faith is the most important thing in my life and I am a huge nerd. I mean HUGE nerd...
Favorite WOD? I can't name one off the top of my head but I really like the Hero WODs.
Least Favorite WOD? Anything with pistols. Pistols happen to be the bane of my existence.
