How long have you been a member at 1020? 3 months!
Tell us about your first day walking through the doors at Ten Twenty. My first day was really exciting, despite getting lost 3 times on the way, I was excited to finally giving CrossFit a try. I was always athletic in high school (soccer, volleyball, basketball, and track) and I struggled my first 3 years of college to find a workout program that I could stick to. I fell in love with the intensity and competitiveness on the first day!
What benefits/accomplishments have you seen/had since joining? I've lost weight! I don't know how much because I don't care about the number. And have also gained some noticeable muscle! I've never had much upper body strength and I'm noticing more and more since joining at 1020!
What are you individual goals? I want to break 200 lbs for my 1 rep max in back squat (currently sitting at 185), break 250 on my 1 rep max deadlift (currently at 210) and getting pull ups and push ups without bands! Which I'm super close to:)
Favorite moment at 1020 so far? Any and every PR!
What do you enjoy most about the coaching staff at 1020? They push me harder than I push myself! They're extremely motivating and always push me to do my best!
Words of advice for someone interested in getting started? Do it! And don't compare yourself to the other athletes when you first start- learn proper form, learn the movements, get used to the environment and progress will happen!
Tell us something we don't know about you? I'm a certified SCUBA diver.
